Up until this week’s release of The Physical World, Death From Above 1979 hadn’t dropped a new album or performed on TV in over a decade. Last night, however, the Toronto duo supported their long-awaited sophomore LP by appearing on the Late Show with David Letterman. They performed the album’s lead single, “Trainwreck 1979”, and it kicked so much ass that I’m told the Red Cross is being sent in.

DFA1979 will hit the road in October for a world tour supporting The Physical World. They’ll start abroad in Europe before returning Stateside in November to play New Orleans’ Voodoo Music + Arts Experience. They’ll also hit up Fun Fun Fun Fest amidst their 22-stop US.
