Usually when a girl in a pretty dress and a blindfold gets pulled from the trunk of an old Cadillac, that girl is in serious trouble. However, in the video for Le Butcherettes’ “Demon Stuck In Your Eye”, that’s not exactly the case. Frontwoman Teri Gender Bender plays the damsel not quite in distress in this grindhouse-esque clip.
With the cowboy in the lucha libre mask digging a grave and the old man smelling his dirty fingers, you’d think Teri was heading for a frightening demise, but then she lets loose a sweet little smile. This thing is clearly not going where you’d think it would, so find out what happens by watching below.
The video comes as Le Butcherettes sign with Mike Patton and Greg Werckman’s Ipecac Records to bring their sophomore record, Cry is for the Flies, to wider release. The effort was previously available from digitally from Nadie Sound, the label run by Teri’s Bosnian Rainbows bandmate Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, but is now out on CD, vinyl, and at most major digital retailers.
