Nicki Minaj has revealed the release date for her eagerly anticipated third studio album. The Pink Print will hit stores on November 24th via Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records, and Republic Records.
The follow-up to 2012’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded will reportedly see a return to the brazen rap that dominated much of Minaj’s early career, specifically mixtapes like Sucka Free and Beam Me Up Scotty. “The Pink Print will remind people why they fell in love with Nicki Minaj,” she said recently. “And I think that needs to be done.”
In an interview with MTV News this past spring, Minaj revealed that not only does the LP re-appropriate the title of Jay Z’s 2001 classic The Blueprint, but Hov also served as a huge inspiration. “I think everybody knows how obsessed I am with Jay Z,” she explained. “He’s always been my favorite rapper. He did such a great job of creating this Blueprint brand for male rappers and I wanted to do that [for] female rappers to be able to pattern themselves with what I’ve done one day.”
Thus far, Minaj has previewed the album with the big booty anthem “Anaconda” and the mournful ballad “Pills N Potions”. Other possible album tracks include “Chi-Raq” and “Yasss Bish!!”.
