Logic would dictate that if Beyoncé and Jay Z were going to collaborate on an album together, they would have done it prior to embarking on a stadium tour. But I guess that’s why they are global pop icons and I’m just a guy eating a bowl of pre-packaged fruit from my local Jewel Osco.
According to radio DJ Skee — who has worked with everyone from Snoop Dogg to Clipse to Chris Cornell over the years — Bey and Jay are currently in the studio working on their first full-length collaborative record. Skee cites multiple sources for his report, but doesn’t provide any further details.
Aside from the aforementioned tour, Beyoncé and Jay Z have teamed up for a number of songs over the course of their decade-long relationship, including “Drunk in Love”, “Crazy in Love”, and “03 Bonnie & Clyde”.
Below, listen to Skee deliver the news on his radio program.
