Röyksopp share new remix of Robyn collaboration “Monument” — listen

This summer, Norwegian electronic outfit Röyksopp joined forces with Robyn for a co-headlining tour and mini-album, which they dubbed Do It Again. At the time, the duo of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland hinted that the collaboration would serve as an introduction to their upcoming fifth studio album, as it reportedly features two of five tracks found on the mini-LP.

Now, Röyksopp has returned with a reworked version of the Do It Again track “Monument”. As the duo explained in an accompanying statement, “‘Monument (The Inevitable End Version)’ represents “a bridge between our recent work with Robyn and the new Röyksopp album – it is also an indication of things to come. It includes the Röyksopp trademark bass line that no-one else can achieve.” Based on their tweaks, Röyksopp appears to be headed toward a more robust and energetic blend of house and techno, with a deep, deep emphasis on their patented bass.
