Spoon capture Letterman’s soul with performance of “Inside Out” — watch

    After a divine four-year absence, Spoon are back in a big way. Their new record, They Want My Soul, has received stellar reviews, as have their live performances at FallonMade in America Philadelphia, and everywhere in between. Last night it was David Letterman’s turn to bask in the alt rock glory of Britt Daniel and co. The band stopped by the Late Show to deliver “Inside Out”, and you can watch the replay below. Following the performance, Letterman turned to bassist Rob Pope and asked, “You’re making the most money, right?”

    Spoon have just a few more US tour dates mapped out before heading abroad for their European leg. Next up is a SummerStage gig in Central Park with !!! and Operators. From there they’ve got a short run with Hamilton Leithauser followed by dates with EMA, and then stops at Austin City Limits to wrap up the American jaunt. See their full docket here.
