Earlier this year, hardcore punk outfit Trash Talk and hip-hop collective Flatbush Zombies linked up for Converse’s CONS EP VOL 1., contributing a snarling jam called “97.92”. Now, the sneaker brand’s second compilation has brought the two acts together again on the foreboding “Modern Mayhem”.
Here, Trash Talk and Flatbush Zombies reflect on the world as it is today, only to find that society is on the brink of utter chaos. Over minimalist, yet eerie production, they lament about wounds that never seem to heal, the feeling of being “enslaved”, and the coming of World War III.
