Watch: Alt-J performs on Letterman, plus the band debuts three new songs

Later this month, Alt-J will release their sophomore album, This Is All Yours. Their supporting US tour doesn’t begin until mid-October, but last night, the UK outfit made a quick trip to New York City for an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. They performed “Left Hand Free”, and Letterman seemed interested enough to ask them about their Mercury Prize win. Watch the replay below.

This Is All Yours arrives September 23rd. “Hunger of the Pine” and “Every Other Freckle” serve as the album’s other two teaser tracks, though as Stereogum points out, Alt-J recently debuted four other songs during a concert for NPR. Those include “Bloodflood Pt. 2″, “The Gospel Of John Hurt”, and “Nara”, all of which you can watch below.
