Last week, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel declared September 23rd as “David Bowie Day” to coincide with the opening of the David Bowie retrospective, David Bowie Is…, at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art. For his own tribute to the Thin White Duke, psych rocker Ty Segall pulled out a medley of Bowie classics during his own Chi-town concert Wednesday night. Among the bunch? Broiling covers of “Ziggy Stardust”, “Suffragette City”, and “Queen Bitch”.

Meanwhile, Segall reportedly covered both The Doors’ “The End” and Wolfmother’s “Woman” in St. Paul, Minnesota last night. Footage of those performances has yet to surface.
Segall’s excellent new album, Manipulator, is out now via Drag City.
