Weezer jam out on the Moon in video for “Back To The Shack” — watch

Weezer has shared the video for “Back To The Shack”, the nostalgia-heavy lead single to their excellent new album, Everything Will Be Alright In The End. Directed by Warren Fu (HAIM, Daft Punk), the clip portrays the band rocking out on the Moon, including some sweet slow-motion, zero-G guitar heroics. It’s a great clip and all, but knowing how nerdy Weezer is collectively, I think they would’ve made it at least a little realistic by wearing some kind of protective suit. Or maybe they’re all just wearing some futuristic, invisible suits ripped out of some anime most of us have never seen?

Everything Will Be Alright In The End is due out October 7th via Republic Records.

In related news, frontman Rivers Cuomo recently appeared on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast. They discussed Cuomo’s writing process for the new album, the release of Pinkerton, the multitude of myths surrounding Cuomo’s personal life, and more. Check out the full discussion here.
