Beach House recently embarked on their “Northern Exposure” tour, which saw them perform to under-served crowds in both Canada and Alaska. During one of the outing’s final shows in Montreal last week, the duo debuted a brand new song, only their second fresh composition in the last two years. (Back in March, they submitted “Saturn Song” to a Lefse charity compilation.) Lithe and noticeably sensuous, the track has the same kind of ethereal warmth, stark ambiance, and minimalist pop melodies that made 2012’s Bloom so distinctly substantial.
