With another leg of tour dates comes another round of media appearances for Jack White. In recent weeks, we’ve seen the Third Man rocker sit down for a conversation with Dan Rather and have a meeting of the guitar-god minds with Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready. This morning, he appeared on Ellen, where he supported Lazaretto with performances of “Would You Fight For My Love” and “Alone in My Home”.
He also sat down for a brief chat. Among the topics discussed was his recent sprained ankle, which was treated by the trainer of the Oakland A’s baseball team. White said he was advised to cancel his tour but said doing so would have been too much of a headache. He also discussed fatherhood and his love of vinyl.
Replay his entire appearance below.
White’s next scheduled performance is this Saturday at Mexico City’s Corona Capital Festival. He’ll then tour about Europe for the rest of the year. His next stateside gigs are in late January, when he’ll headline Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena followed by New York’s Madison Square Garden. Yeah, that’s what Jack White does now: He headlines Madison Square Garden.
