Karen O performed at London’s Bush Hall on Saturday evening, the latest stop in her string of intimate tour dates in support of Crush Songs. While her backing band — guitarists Holly Miranda and Moses Sumney — continued to help flesh out Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer’s solo ballads, they also contributed to a pair of surprise covers (via NME). Karen took on The Doors’ “Indian Summer” from 1970’s Morrison Hotel, with Sumney and Miranda’s haunting “ooh”s providing much of the song’s bedrock. Later, Miranda took the lead on a crowd-pleasing rendition of Radiohead’s The Bends single “High and Dry”. Watch both performances below.
