In recent years, Mute Records has reissued Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds’ catalog as single-disc CD and CD/DVD sets. Now, 14 of those same classic albums are once again receiving the reissue treatment, this time on deluxe vinyl.
As Clash points out, the reissues have been broken up into two non-sequential blocks of seven LPs, with the first set coming later this year and the second in early 2015.
The first batch will be released over three separate weeks: 1984’s From Her to Eternity, 1985’s The Firstborn Is Dead, and 1986’s Your Funeral … My Trial will arrive on October 27th; 2003’s Nocturama, 2004’s Abattoir Blues/The Lyre Of Orpheus, and 2008’s Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! will follow on November 17th; and 1986’s Kicking Against The Pricks will be re-released on November 24th.
Each of the albums has been remastered by famed producer and Bad Seeds co-founder Mick Harvey, with the artwork for each release featuring reproductions of both the original covers and printer inner sleeves.
