Noel Gallagher has premiered the video for “In The Heat Of The Moment”, the lead single from his new solo album as the High Flying Birds, Chasing Yesterday. What it lacks in plot, this performance-centric clip makes up for with a pleasing visual aesthetic, as Gallagher and the Birds play amid a kaleidoscope of ever-changing neon colors. It’s pretty and all, but it would’ve been amazing if they had decided to remake the video for the first “Heat of the Moment” track, Asia’s 1982 power ballad. C’est la vie.

Chasing Yesterday hits stores on March 2nd, 2015 via Sour Mash Records. The follow-up to 2011’s self-titled debut has been described as a “rich, expansive and multi-layered record, drawing from a range of disparate influences — from west coast rock to classic rock ‘n’ roll and even some space jazz.”
