St. Vincent will release a new two-song 10-inch EP for Record Store Day’s Black Friday event on November 28th. The A-side contains “Pieta”, a song which has been a mainstay of Annie Clark’s live show over since February. The B-side, meanwhile, features “Sparrow”. Described as a “counterpoint” to “Pieta”, the track is “a deep musing on death and loss that recalls the sonic textures of Big Science-era Laurie Anderson,” according to Record Store Day’s website.
The vinyl is housed in a package designed by Willo Perrnon, who also collaborated with Clark on the visuals for her St. Vincent world tour. Each piece is individually numbered.
