Carl Barât and his Internet-sourced band The Jackals have unveiled the video for “A Storm is Coming”, off their upcoming debut album Let It Reign. With a distinctly Gilliam-esque aesthetic, the clip depicts the band working on a post-apocalyptic assembly line, filling boxes with disturbing found video (war footage, pornographic movies, and other snapshots of human tragedy). Equal parts confusing and insightful, it provides interesting ruminations on the evolution of the modern news cycle and mankind’s desensitization to worldly trauma. Watch it below.
