Major Lazer announces new album, Peace is the Mission, shares “Roll the Bass” — listen

Major Lazer has announced the first of what is expected to be two new albums for the year. Peace is the Mission is due out June 1st via Mad Decent and, much like the recent Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü LP, shows just how deep Diplo’s rolodex goes.

We already knew MØ and DJ Snake are present on album track “Lean On”, but the rest of the album will feature the likes of Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Ellie Goulding, Chronixx, Wild Belle, Travi$ Scott, and more. Ariana Grande will also appear in the form of a remix for “All My Love” from the The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part I.

As another early tease of the LP, the Major has released the only non-guest-featuring track of the bunch, “Roll the Bass”. The banger comes bumping out of an island club with screechy horns a-blaring, and you can listen in below. It’s also available for free download here.

In addition to the new track, Major Lazer has unveiled the video for “Lean On”, which sees MØ and the DJ crew on a dance excursion in India.
