Just a few weeks after being hit by a man in a Denny’s, Marilyn Manson has taken on the role of a hitman in a new film. The shock rocker will play a hired gun named Pope in the upcoming film Let Me Make You a Martyr.
The movie, currently filming in Tulsa, Oklahoma, reunites Manson with his Sons of Anarchy co-stars Mark Boone Junior and Niko Nicotera. The “cerebral revenge film” follows a pair of adopted siblings (Nicotera as Drew Glass and Sam Quartin as June Glass) “who fall in love, and hatch a plan to kill their abusive father.” Boone Junior plays the father, Larry.
John Swab wrote the script, and is producing and directing alongside Corey Asraf. This marks the first major motion picture from either filmmaker. This isn’t Manson’s first feature, however; he’s had roles in films such as Jawbreaker and Party Monster. In addition to his Sons of Anarchy role, he’s made appearances on TV series like Eastbound & Down and Once Upon a Time (where he voiced Peter Pan’s Shadow).
