Chris Evans has said before that he wants to trim back his time in front of the camera and start exploring life behind it as a director. Now, we have our first look at what a Chris Evans-directed film looks like with the trailer for his directorial debut, Before We Go.
Starring Evans himself alongside Alice Eve, Before We Go is a romantic dramedy set during one late night in New York City. Evans plays Nick Vaughan, a trumpet busker in Grand Central Terminal who meets Brooke Dalton when she misses her train back home to Boston. Vaughan just wants to get Brooke home safely and make himself the hero, but the young Bostonian is unsure about seeking help from a stranger on the worst night of her life. Take a look below.
Filmed and edited during the five months Evans had off between Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron, Before We Go is available via iTunes and OnDemand now. It will see a limited theatrical release on September 4th via Radius-TWC. Below, read the official synopsis:
“A young woman in New York City races to catch the 1:30 Train to Boston. On the way she is robbed. She is lost in the dark underbelly of New York at night with nothing and no one.”
