Earlier this month, Lou Barlow let loose “Moving”, the excellent first glimpse of his forthcoming solo album, Brace the Wave. The Dinosaur Jr. bassist returns this week with “Wave”, an equally impressive, touching number in which he offers to accept the brunt of misfortunes to come. “Take your disappointment and put it on me,” he sings without any reservations.

Brace the Wave, the follow-up to 2009’s Goodnight Unknown, arrives on September 4th via Joyful Noise. Shortly after its release, Barlow will head out on the road for a short US trek.
