Drake, Kanye West, and Will Smith aren’t the only ones having at a laugh at all the hip-hop beef making the headlines. Yasiin Bey, the rapper otherwise known as Mos Def, made his stand-up comedy debut in Montreal on Tuesday night and, among various topics, poked fun at the Drake vs. Meek Mill feud.

“The male ego is a boring place,” he said of the ongoing bickering, according to Cult MTL (via Pitchfork). He mostly felt sorry for Nicki Minaj, Meek’s girlfriend and longtime Drake collaborator. “She’s a better rapper than both of them dudes.” Elsewhere in his set, Bey relayed a story he heard from Run the JewelsEl-P regarding Kanye’s epic mic drop at the Pan American Games last month: “I was talking to El-P from Run the Jewels the other day and he said it turned into a bird.”

Check out some footage from his comedy routine below.

Bey’s no stranger to the laugh circuit; previously, he made a surprise appearance during one of Dave Chappelle’s shows in New York.

Over the weekend, he joined Kendrick Lamar for a performance of “Alright” at Osheaga.
