Wolf Eyes announce new LP on Third Man Records, share single “Enemy Ladder” — listen

Industrial noise rockers from Detroit sign with their hometown hero's label

Jack White’s Third Man Records is usually associated with blues, soul, and garage rock sounds, often mixed together. But let it never be said they don’t know how to diversify, as signified by their latest signing: Wolf Eyes. The industrial noise rock icons from Detroit have joined the label to release their new album, I Am A Problem: Mind In Pieces.

Due out on October 30th, the record follows 2013’s No Answer: Lower Floors. Press for the release describes the LP as “the newest and hardest-polished latest link in the long chain that locks Bo Diddely inside his homemade nuclear fallout bunker.” In other words, it’s another sonic onslaught of hellish guitar and drums that beat like the devil’s own personal drummer boy.

As a first listen to the new work, they’ve shared lead single “Enemy Ladder”. A 7-inch vinyl version of the track b/w non-album track “Dull Murder Two” will be released on September 4th. Pre-orders are ongoing, but you can listen to the track right now below.

Wolf Eyes will also continue to release collections of rarities via their Bandcamp page, the first of which is already available. The second batch is expected August 15th.
