Many Moons set to hit stores at the end of October

Real Estate vocalist/guitarist Martin Courtney unveiled his debut solo song, “Vestiges“, just a few weeks ago. Turns out the laid-back number is part of a much larger project, his full-length debut entitled Many Moons, which is due out on October 30th through Domino.

Press materials describe the record as channeling “soft psychedelia that recalls the Kinks and Big Star,” adding that it “is squinting-at-the-sun bright, full of subtle introspection, an elliptical document of Courtney’s transition into family life and fatherhood.” Like “Vestiges”, the 10-track effort will feature contributions from Jarvis Taveniere of Woods, as well as bedroom pop artist Julian Lynch and Real Estate keyboardist Matt Kallman.

Along with the album news, Courtney has shared a song called “Northern Highway”. Check out the summery cut via its accompanying music video, directed by Rob Hatch-Miller and Puloma Basu.
