Production on the third season of Twin Peaks is currently underway in the Washington state. As David Lynch continues filming each episode as one continuous film, more and more casting announcements are escaping the woods.
Without speaking to the Log Lady, we can confirm that Amanda Seyfried (Big Love) and Balthazar Getty (Lost Highway) will be playing unspecified roles in the next chapter of the series.
Reportedly, Seyfried has landed a major role, while past Lynch collaborator Getty’s involvement is a little more mysterious. As TV Line reports, there allegedly will be a past character recast, so it’s possible Getty could be filling in for someone else.
Could it be Bob? Sadly, Frank Silva passed away in 1995, though given how essential and yet transmutable his character was it’s likely he’s the former regular player Lynch needs recast. Though, some clever fans have pointed to Leland Palmer (Ray Wise).
To quote Jerry Horne once again, “I am 100% sure that we’re not completely sure.”
