As part of Red Bull Sound Select’s 30 Days in LA series, BadBadNotGood put on a show at Tower Theatre on Friday night. The Toronto jazz outfit brought out Future Islands frontman Sam Herring to debut a new song.

The collaborative track is a slow-burning number, covered in the smoke of a dark underground jazz club. Even with the comparatively downtempo backing, Herring is still able to bust out a few of his trademark moves as he sings lines like, “Time moves slow/ When we get to the end/ Running away is easy/ It’s the leaving that’s hard.”
Footage of the performance, as well as a very different version of Future Islands’ breakout single “Seasons (Waiting on You)”, can be seen below (via Stereogum).
