A massive search and rescue operation is underway for a woman who apparently jumped off a cruise ship hosting the Mad Decent Boat Party Thursday night.

The Norwegian Pearl was sailing through the Yucatan Channel amid a five-day voyage between Miami and Cozumel, Mexico. According to an official statement from Mad Decent organizers, the woman is believed to have jumped intentionally.

“Thursday, November 12 during the chartered cruise on Norwegian Pearl, a female guest was observed intentionally going overboard while the ship was sailing the Yucatan Channel. The ship’s crew immediately initiated rescue measures, including deploying three rescue boats and notifying the Coast Guard and other relevant authorities. The search for the guest is ongoing. Both the ship and charter company teams are providing support to the family and all impacted guests during this difficult time.”

According to tweets from passenger Ze Sus, the ship immediately turned around and launched a pair of lifeboats to initiate the search, with a third launching shortly after. Two cargo ships nearby also joined the search, as did Coast Guard boats and a plane. Rain made search conditions even more difficult in the dark hours, and after five hours out, the lifeboats returned without having found the missing person.

Update – 12:30 p.m. CT: The rest of the cruise has been canceled and the ship is heading back to port in Miami.

Update – 2:45 p.m. CT: The missing woman has been identified as Kaylyn Rose Summer, 24, of Charleston, South Carolina.

All shows aboard the ship, which included performances from Diplo, Skrillex, A-Trak, Dillon Francis, Flosstradamus, MØ, and others, were canceled once the search began.
