Hundred Waters’ last released music was way back in 2014 with their sophomore album The Moon Rang Like A Bell. Fans can rejoice as today shared brings the first song since that record, though it comes from a very sad place.
The band wrote, produced, and recorded “Forgive Me For Giving Up” following the death of David Bowie, and have dedicated the song to his memory. It’s an alluringly forlorn track with softly rolling waves of strings cresting over a smooth piano shore. “I’ll be gone when you reach me,” go the lyrics. “But listen closely/ You’ll hear me in the breeze/ Every leaf/ Every tree.”
Take a listen to the song below.
