UK’s electropop artist Jack Garratt is inching ever closer to phenom status. He recently nabbed BBC’s Introducing Artist of the Year award, the BRIT Awards’ Critics’ Choice award, and topped the BBC Sound of 2016 poll. The producer-multi-instrumentalist will follow up that hat trick by releasing his debut LP, Phase, on February 19th via Island/Interscope.

Ahead of its release, he’s loosed one more ball of heat from the record in the form of “Fire”. The track has a bit of everything to satisfy any music fan, flaunting Garratt’s extreme talent with every transition. What opens as a minimalist R&B number molds into a heavy-hitting alternative pop song, quickly morphs into a hip-hop flavored banger, and then explodes with sparks of electronic dance. Each shift is seamless, leading to a song that earns its own title.
