Emma Stone to star as JFK’s older sister in Letters From Rosemary

The film will follow Rose Marie Kennedy and her troubling mental history

Emma Stone will soon become a member of the Kennedy family.

The young star has signed on for Letters From Rosemary, which tells the troubling story of John F. Kennedy’s oldest sister, who at the age of 23 was given one of the first prefrontal lobotomies. Sadly, the operation failed and left her permanently damaged, and she spent the majority of her life in Jefferson, Wisconsin away from her family.

Newcomer screenwriter Nick Yarborough wrote the spec script, which follows the moments leading up to the procedure and how the family reacted to the damages. Why the rookie? Producers Allard Cantor, Jarrod Murray and Richard Arlook actually found the script online via The Black List. In other words, start uploading to The Black List.

Anonymous Content, still reeling from their major Oscar win for Spotlight, will produce.
