Joe Biden endorses Bruce Springsteen for president

Joe Biden chose to sit out of the 2016 presidential race, but he’s throwing his weight behind another candidate.

Asked in a new interview with Billboard which musician would make the best commander in chief, Vice President Biden campaigned for New Jersey rock hero Bruce Springsteen.

“The middle class would have the best chance with Springsteen,” Biden explained. “He understands issues facing working Americans.”

For what it’s worth, Springsteen turned down an opportunity to run for New Jersey senate in 1998. At the time, he said, “If nominated, I will not run. If elected, I will not serve.” But with Donald Trump barreling his way towards the Republican nomination, maybe Springsteen will realize he was born to run and throw his hat into the jungleland of politics with an eye to becoming America’s new Boss.
