Jonah Hill to make directorial debut with Mid-’90s

Californian coming of age story was also written by Hill

There was a time when the phrase “Oscar-nominated actor Jonah Hill” seemed like the pipe dream of a character on The Twilight Zone. But that’s now the reality we live in, and now Hill is about to take on another unexpected title: Director.

Hill will make his directorial debut with Mid-’90s, and though he won’t be appearing in the movie himself, he also wrote the script. The story follows a group of skateboarding teens as they go through the typical coming of age tropes like sex, fights, and just trying to be cool.

Scott Rudin and Eli Bush (Steve JobsThe Grand Budapest Hotel) are producing Mid-’90s along with A24.
