Le Butcherettes, the Mexican garage punk outfit led by Teri Gender Bender, have been tapped as openers for At the Drive-In’s global reunion tour. During their set at The Fonda in Hollywood last night, they paid tribute to the late, great David Bowie with a rollicking cover of “Ziggy Stardust”.

Le Butcherettes didn’t go it alone, however; they were joined by surprise guests No Doubt bassist Tony Kanal and AFI frontman Davey Havok, offering an early preview of their new collaborative project. Havok’s always had a certain flair and charisma on-stage and handled Bowie’s parts pretty decently.
