Big bash included a guest-heavy performance of "I Want You To Want Me"

Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready celebrated his 50th birthday with a huge bash at the Neptune Theater in Seattle last Friday.

In addition to a star-studded guest list that included Kim Thayil of Soundgarden, Mad Season, and Screaming Trees, one of McCready’s favorite acts in Cheap Trick played a special set. At one point, both McCready and Eddie Vedder joined the band on-stage for an exuberant performance of “I Want You To Want Me”.

Pearl Jam also made headlines in Seattle last week when Vedder made a surprise cameo at Bruce Springsteen’s local concert; the two rocked out to Born in the USA cut “Bobby Jean”.
