Super is the upcoming album from synthpop experts Pet Shop Boys, due out next week through their own x2 imprint. Spanning 12 tracks, the new collection marks their 13th (!) full-length to date. Much like on their previous LP, 2013’s Electric, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe were joined in the studio by Grammy winning producer/mixer Stuart Price (New Order, The Killers).
Back in January, we heard stirring lead single “Inner Sanctum”. This week, Pet Shop Boys return with new song “Happiness” in tow. Though the song isn’t exactly a joyful anthem à la Pharrell’s similarly titled hit, it will get the heart beating at a mighty quick pace and extend those club nights well into the morning hours.
