Last summer, the New York Times published a visually-stunning video in which Justin Bieber and Jack Ü (Diplo and Skrillex) broke down all the various elements of their collaborative hit “Where Are Ü Now”. Today, that clip is parodied in a new video from Thao & The Get Down Stay Down and tUnE-yArDs’ Merrill Garbus.
Presented by the funny folks at Funny or Die, it finds the two leading ladies similarly dissecting their own joint track “Astonished Man”. Of course, it’s all done in an exaggerated, silly manner, especially when they explain how they sampled the sounds of a paper towel ripping (LOL) and eggs cracking. Watch below.
For context, here’s the original video:
“Astonished Man” is off Thao & The Get Down Stay Down’s latest album, Man Alive, which was produced by Garbus.
