The Claypool Lennon Delirium is a new band consisting of Les Claypool and Sean Lennon. In January, to coincide with the announcement of Bonnaroo’s 2016 lineup, the pair released their first single “Cricket and Genie”. Now, they’ve confirmed details of their debut album, Monolith of Phobos, out June 3rd, which they’re previewing today with a new single called “Mr. Wright”. Listen below.
In a statement, Claypool discussed his new collaborator, writing, “Sean is a musical mutant after my own heart. He definitely reflects his genetics – not just the sensibilities of his dad but also the abstract perspective and unique approach of his mother. It makes for a glorious freak stew.”
Additionally, The Claypool Lennon Delirium have announced an extensive US tour for this summer. The touring lineup features Beastie Boys’ “Money Mark” (Mark Ramos Nishita) and Paul Baldi of the Fungi Band.
