Swedish producer Axel Willner, aka The Field, will put out a new album titled The Follower on April 1st. His fifth LP to date follows 2013’s Cupid’s Head and is said to be “about old myths, finding utopia and how mankind repeatedly makes the same mistakes over and over,” according to a press release.
With less than a week to go before the record’s release, Willner has broken off closing track “Reflecting Lights”. Throughout the course of its expansive 14 minutes, the epic cut mutates from a cool, contemplative meandering to a more urgent affair.
