Paradise, the new studio album from Vancouver’s White Lung, is set for a May 6th release via Domino. We’ve already heard a bit of the album’s more pop-oriented punk rock with the lead single “Hungry”, and now the band’s broken off “Kiss Me When I Bleed”.

“‘Kiss Me When I Bleed’ is about pride,” frontwoman Mish Barber-Way said in a press release. “That kind of steadfast, I-don’t-give-a-fuck-I’m-in-love pride in that we all wish we had for someone. This song is my fairytale. Riches to rags and happily ever after because nothing else in this world really matters except love.”

That pride comes by way of menacing guitar shredding, with Kenny William’s licks buzzing out like “evil mosquitos.” The chorus is one of dirty defiance, flaming fists in the air as Barber-Way sings out, “I will give birth in a trailer/ Huffing the gas in the air/ Baby is born in molasses/ Like I would even care.” Take a listen below.

In addition to the new track, White Lung have expanded their 2016 tour with a new round of North American dates. Check their full itinerary below.
