Win The Ultimate Replacements Fan Package

Includes new four-LP vinyl box set, The Sire Years, plus limited edition painting, promo-only 7-inch, and biography

Capping off a year of reissues of all The Replacements’ classic albums now comes the final installment: The Sire Years four-LP box set. Containing the four full-length releases Minneapolis’ favorite sons recorded after signing to Sire Records, the box includes Tim (1985), Pleased To Meet Me (1987), Don’t Tell a Soul (1989) and — available in the US on LP through Warner for the first time ever — All Shook Down (1990).

These legendary albums are being released on vinyl and feature the band’s cavalcade of hits such as “Alex Chilton”, “Achin’ To Be”, “Bastards of Young” and more. The Sire Years box set is a simple explanation as to why The Replacements are seen as one of the last great rock ’n’ roll bands of the 20th century.

To celebrate this new release, Consequence of Sound is giving away the ultimate ‘Mats fan package to one lucky reader. The package is comprised of the four-LP The Sire Years box set, a unique painting of the Pleased To Meet Me cover by noted artist Steve Keene, a cool Replacements slipmat for your turntable, the rare promo-only ‘Mats (instant) 7-inch of “Can’t Hardly Wait (The Tim Version)” b/w “Portland”, and a copy of the acclaimed new biography Trouble Boys: The True Story of The Replacements by Bob Mehr.
