You Won’t share wacky video for new single “No Divide” — watch

Massachusetts duo bring their unique sensibilities to another taste of their new LP

You Won’t bring their own quirky sensibilities to everything they do. Their take on indie folk pop music makes use of every type of instrument they can get their hands on — and if they can’t get their hands on it, they’ll just up and make it themselves. That sense of delirious playfulness goes double for their videos, as you can plainly see in their latest clip for new single “No Divide”.

With You Won’t’s quintessentially witty instrumentation built on a romantically jiving piano and clacking, clattering percussion, “No Divide” addresses the conflict of collaboration within any relationship. For the visuals, the band’s own multi-instrumentalist Raky Sastri directed a video that parallels those themes through the art of foppish Morris Dancing. Sastri said in a press release that the English dance style’s use of unison footwork and stick fighting “proved an oddly appropriate vehicle to embody the song’s themes of cooperation and conflict as a literal duel – if not to the death, at least to the disco. In the end, sometimes you just gotta shut up and dance… with a monkey.”

Of course, as frontman Josh Arnoudse and longtime You Woncollaborator Ewen Wright battle it out on the streets of LA, there are plenty of other goofy surprises to witness. Keep an eye out for the rubber chicken that seems to be the running visual reference for the band’s forthcoming sophomore album, Revolutionarieswhen you check out the clip and track below.

Revolutionaries is due out April 29th via Extraneous Music/Meddling Kids; pre-orders are available here. The duo previously shared the equally amazing video for lead single “Ya Ya Ya” and revealed North American tour dates, which you can see below.
