Sometimes an artist has a sophomore slump, and sometimes an artist has a sophomore jump. Anderson .Paak is currently experiencing the latter, as his second LP, Malibu, has been bringing him a wealth of attention and success unseen with his previous release. On Thursday night, he continued his fast ascent with his second late-night TV appearance.
Following his debut Colbert back in February, the R&B singer returned to late-night with a stop by Kimmel. Once more backed by his band The Free Nationals, .Paak performed “Am I Wrong” from behind his drum kit, smiling with pure joy all along. ScHoolboy Q also joined in for the soulful, jazzy song, appearing about halfway through to deliver his verse and dabbing on his way out.
