This week’s CinemaCon has brought news of several unnecessary sequels, prequels, crossovers, and remakes. Now, Universal has announced a new animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas. That despite the fact Chuck Jones’ original 1966 version is absolutely flawless, and there’s no other reason to remake it aside from a quick cash grab. So, yeah, fuck you, Hollywood.
The new Grinch will star Benedict Cumberbatch. A release date is planned for November 10th, 2017. Start planning your boycotts now.
