In the final years of his life, David Bowie forged a musical relationship with James Murphy. The LCD Soundsystem frontman contributed to both 2013’s The Next Day and 2015’s ★ (Blackstar). Last night at Coachella, Murphy dedicated a portion of LCD Soundsystem’s headlining set in tribute to Bowie, as they covered “Heroes”.
