Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats may have released their debut album almost nine months ago now, but their popularity continues to grow at extraordinary levels. It’s why they’re booked for every festival from Bonnaroo in Tennessee, to OpenAir in Switzerland, to a repeat performance at Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island. It’s also why late-night TV can’t get enough of them; following a pair of performances on The Tonight Show and a socks-rocking appearance on Colbert, Rateliff and his band returned to the boob tube via The Late Late Show with James Corden. For Monday’s edition of the program, they rattled off a jaunty yet feel-good rendition of “I Need Never Get Old”, taken from their 2015 self-titled LP.
