Neko Case, k.d. lang, Laura Veirs unveil lovely new song “Honey and Smoke” — listen

Collaborative debut album set to hit the streets in June

Veteran songwriters Neko Case, k.d. lang, and Laura Veirs have combined forces to form a new supergroup called case/lang/veirs. Their self-titled debut album, a 14-track collection recorded at Veirs and lang’s Portland abodes, is expected to hit shelves on June 17th through ANTI-.

Already we’ve heard a pair of cuts in “Atomic Number” and “Best Kept Secret”. Now, the three-piece has broken off “Honey and Smoke”. As its title suggests, the track is shrouded in a lounge-like haze, while its melodies carry a sweet ’60s sway. Its easily the most alluring of their offerings thus far.

Check it out below.
