Mad TV

Sketch comedy series MADtv is being resurrected by The CW, with plans for eight new episodes to air in primetime.

The Hollywood Reporter was the first to break the news, adding that the revival will feature new and returning cast members.

The original incarnation of MADtv ran on FOX from 1995 and 2009. Notable cast members included Keegan Michael-Key, Jordan Peele, Frank Caliendo, Artie Lange, Taran Killam, Alex Borstein, Nicole Sullivan, Will Sasso, and Mo Collins.

Earlier this year, The CW marked the 20th anniversary of MADtv with a 60-minute reunion special, laying the groundwork for the forthcoming revival.
