In an Instagram post last month, Top Dawg Entertainment hinted that 2016 would be a big year for its star-studded roster, which includes Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock. The label came through shortly after with Kendrick’s surprise project untitled unmastered. Now, Team TDE is back with a new song and video from ScHoolboy Q.
“Groovy Tony” is a burning number, with the Los Angeles MC sounding as urgent as ever. Its accompanying clip, directed by Jack Begert and Little Homies, captures that same sense of disquieting intensity.
