The Hunna premiere life-affirming new single “You & Me (Hunna Tree)” — listen

Rising UK four-piece know how to make fans out of their disbelievers

London four-piece The Hunna introduced themselves to the world last October on the strength of debut single “Bonfire”. Though the indie rockers still might be considered a fledgling act, their music, as well as their outlook on life and their professional careers, says otherwise. The Hunna not only know how to roll out arena-ready, feel-good jams, but they also exude an endearing air of confidence when it comes to their haters and disbelievers.

Just listen to the assertiveness on the band’s latest single, “You & Me (Hunna Tree)”, which is meant to be “an anthemic call to arms for ‘The H-Squad’ and a middle finger to those who just don’t want to enlist,” reads a press release. “It’s about us as a band,” singer/guitarist Ryan Potter tells Consequence of Sound, “Taking the negative things that people have said and sort of turning it around.”

As promised, there’s nothing but pure energy and positivity throughout the track, sandwiched between polished hooks and pumping riffs. “You and me/ We are wild and we are free,” Potter can be heard proclaiming on the chorus, as though he’s leading a pack of hungry, young optimists who are ready to seize the day.

The Hunna recently became the first UK rock act to sign to 300 Entertainment, the label co-founded by music industry veterans Lyor Cohen and Kevin Liles and home to artists like Coheed and Cambria and Young Thug. For more of their music, check out “We Could Be” and “World Is Ours”.
