It hasn’t even been a week since Courtney Barnett conquered America with a raucous Saturday Night Live performance, but it looks as if the Australian singer-songwriter was just getting started. She stopped by the set of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday to rip through a special cover of the Grateful Dead’s “New Speedway Boogie”, which appears on the new Day of the Dead compilation curated by The National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner. The album has been a hit on the live television circuit, with both The National and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy appearing on CBS This Morning earlier this week to perform their contributions.

Check out Barnett’s cover of “New Speedway Boogie” below. The song originally appears on the Dead’s 1970 album Workingman’s Dead.
